Our banjos have been made from various types of hardwoods to include maple, walnut, and pecan. Much of the wood was harvested from family property in TN and GA. Our inventory also includes custom fabricated tail pieces, top tension hoops, and quality hardware from reputable sources such as StewMac. We strive to ensure the top-quality materials are used in our banjos not to mention our proprietary tone ring design in order to produce the ultimate sound!
We take pride in choosing the best quality maple and spruce in building our mandolins. We use a variety of maple for our sides and backs to include straight-grained, tiger striped, spalted, or quilted. The spruce top sound boards are given immense scrutiny as a key factor in sound quality. A lot of our current supply is sourced by Old Standard Wood out of Fulton, MO. They are a top-notch supplier of many brands to include Gibson.
The venture into guitar building is in the early stages but our plan involves two basic styles, one with mahogany wood for sides and back while the other with rosewood sides and back. Our spruce top sound boards are scrutinized to ensure only top-quality material is used for the ultimate sound. We try to maintain a diverse supply chain which includes StewMac, Old Standard Wood, and others.
